Bad Vilbel, September 3, 2010 - The Supervisory Board of STADA Arzneimittel
AG has secured the Company's Executive Board structure for the long term.
To this end, Hartmut Retzlaff, Chairman of the Executive Board, was
appointed today for a further five years as a member of the STADA Executive
Board until August 31, 2016. Retzlaff has been on the Executive Board of
STADA Arzneimittel AG since 1993 and has been Chairman of the Executive
Board since 1994. His previous contract ends on August 31, 2011.
In addition, the Supervisory Board has today prematurely extended the
appointment of Helmut Kraft as Chief Financial Officer for five years, thus
until December 31, 2014. Kraft has been Chief Financial Officer since the
beginning of the year; his previous contract would have ended on December
31, 2012.
At the same time, Dr. Axel Müller will take office as new Chief Production
and Development Officer as of September 16, 2010. Dr. Müller had already
been appointed until December 31, 2014 on July 26, 2010; according to which
he would take office no later than November 1, 2010 (see the Company's ad
hoc release of July 26, 2010).
All new Executive Board contracts are based on a uniform remuneration
structure in line with new legal requirements from the Law for the
Appropriateness of Executive Board Remuneration (VorstAG). The Supervisory
Board thus concluded the announced adjustment of all Executive Board
contracts to comply with the VorstAG and secured the structure of STADA's
three-person Executive Board for the long term.
