MEDISANA introduces new benchmark for mobile health
- Future of mobile health (VitaDock) firstly introduced at IFA
- Health monitors for vital body signs and health values such as blood

Hilden, September 07, 2010 - MEDISANA AG (WKN: 549254) presented their
health devices of the VitaDock series at the IFA 2010 Consumer Electronics
Show in Berlin for the first time. In conjunction with custom-made software
applications (apps), the new measuring and monitoring devices facilitate
the continuous recording of various vital parameters and historical
progression over days, weeks, months and years and various diagnostic
functions.
The VitaDock health monitors are extremely compact modules which can be
attached to a Smart Phone, PDA or Tablet PC, etc.). Based on the various
measurements they provide the readings to the corresponding software
application. The Software Application or App automatically displays the
measurement result, computes it and saves it in a personal data base. Thus
important vital data and parameters are available anytime to be displayed,
shared and communicated with the doctor, family members and friends or
caregivers; in social networks or with individual interest groups.
The launch for the VitaDock Monitors and Measuring devices for iPhone 4,
3GS, 3G, 2G, iPad and iPod touch is planned for end of 2010 in Germany and
Europe. In detail this includes the blood glucose meter 'GlucoDock', the
infrared thermometer 'ThermoDock' and the blood pressure and pulse monitor
'CardioDock'. The VitaDock Software App will be available on the iTunes
Appstore for download later this year.
Ralf Lindner, CEO of MEDISANA AG, sees his expectations by the previous
course of the exhibition fully confirmed: 'In the following months we are
going to position VitaDock very selectively in line with co-operations to
make the considerable sales and turnover potential accessible.'
