The CRFA Celebrates 30 Years of Renewable Fuels in Canada

(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/13 -- More than 200 industry leaders and professionals from across Canada are in Montreal for the 10th Annual Canadian Renewable Fuels Summit (CRFS), taking place from December 2-4, 2013.

Since 1984, the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) has been the leading, national voice for clean-burning, renewable fuels in Canada. This year marks the 10th anniversary of its annual policy conference for the ethanol and biodiesel industry.

The theme of the 10th Anniversary Summit is "Fuelling Growth and Innovation" and will outline the association's roadmap for building Canada's emerging bioeconomy and becoming a global leader in clean energy.

"The challenge of capitalizing on our natural resources while protecting our environment is one of the greatest concerns facing our country. It is also an unparalleled opportunity," said CRFA President W. Scott Thurlow. "Biofuels present the best way to seize this opportunity. Renewable transportation fuels and co-products are the key to helping power our vehicles, diversifying and extending our fuel pools, and protecting our planet for generations to come."
