(PresseBox) - Talesun Solar, a leading international manufacturer of high quality solar modules and cells, will be working together in the future with Anadolu Enerji under the name TALESUN ANADOLU SOLAR ENERJI ÜRETIM ANONIM ?IRKETI in the Turkish energy market. The aim of this joint venture, based in Ankara, is the planning and execution of photovoltaic projects in Turkey.
The Turkish company ANADOLU ENERJI ÜRETIM SANAYAU VE TICARET ANONIM ?IRKETI and Talesun Solar have followed similar paths. Both companies have used the positive market development of recent years as a basis for the cooperation agreement for the region comprising the country and its bordering neighbor states. "In Turkey, the energy market is currently undergoing a phase of new beginnings, in which increased photovoltaic capacity is also of great significance. The state government also takes account of the continuing economic growth and increasing energy consumption in its policy making," says Gregor Albrecht, Managing Director at Talesun Solar.
Turkey promotes Renewable Energy Offensive - Target date 2023
The main provision of Turkish energy has been based on fossil fuels, the majority of which is imported. For this reason, the country is setting itself the timely growth target of renewable energy contributing 30 percent of total electricity provision by the year 2023, the one hundredth anniversary of the establishment of the modern Republic. The capacity goal for solar energy has been set at three gigawatts. With an average annual solar irradiation level of 1,527 KWh per square-meter, the country hosts the ideal conditions for harnessing the power of the sun.
As early as 2011, the Turkish Government increased the feed-in tariffs for the generation of electricity from photovoltaic technology. By the end of 2012 the installed PV capacity summed up to three MW. Since April 2013, simplified licensing procedures have been in place for installations of up to one MW. Previously, these applied only to installations with a capacity of up to 500 KWp. In addition, the government has raised all limits promoting the self-generation of solar energy and the demand for photovoltaic installations is rising noticeably. Talesun Solar considers these all as very encouraging signs and measures for ensuring a successful continuation of the expanding role of photovoltaic energy in the country over the coming years

Both Talesun Solar and Anadolu Enerji are looking forward to the successful implementation of projects in Turkey: "In Anadolu Enerji we have a partner with many years of experience and recognized energy experts on our side. This will enable us to successfully extend our operations in the country," says Gregor Albrecht. "Together, we are in the position to chart the complete value-chain for the efficient realization of the entire spectrum of photovoltaic projects. This begins with the pre and interim financing, and continues through to the eventual hand-over of fully operational photovoltaic parks to investors."
