Northern Sun Completes Asbestos Remediation at Its Timmins Properties
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/10/13 -- Northern Sun Mining Corp. (TSX: NSC) (formerly Liberty Mines Inc.) is pleased to report the successful completion of the asbestos remediation program at its Timmins properties, more specifically its Redstone Mill site and its McWatters Mine site. In particular, the order to suspend activities at site has been revoked by the Ministry of Labour.
In addition, the Company announces its intention to officially close the McWatters nickel mine in Timmins and will begin site rehabilitation measures in 2014. Site rehabilitation at the McWatters mine will be fully funded by reclamation bonds currently on deposit with the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Northern Sun owns the Redstone Mill which has operated as the only nickel concentrator in this Region.
