Government Tables Documents as Part of Seven-Point Plan Commitment

(firmenpresse) - GATINEAU, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 12/10/13 -- The National Fighter Procurement Secretariat today is meeting several commitments outlined in the to replace the CF-18 fleet. A series of key documents are being tabled in Parliament specific to the Joint Strike Fighter Program.

Further delivering on the Seven-Point Plan commitment to update and refine costs for the F-35, the Governments is tabling the in Parliament today. For a second year in a row, the Annual Update has also been independently reviewed to ensure that it is in accordance with the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) Framework. The , conducted by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, found that "there were no deviations from the Framework that would result in any material changes to the overall LCC estimate." The Secretariat previously , consistent with the commitment to make Canadian cost estimates public within 60 days of receiving Canada-specific bilateral cost data on the F-35 from the U.S.
Until the Seven-Point Plan is complete, the Government will not make a decision on the replacement for the CF-18 fighter jets and all options remain on the table.
