- Placement of 429.000 shares
- Firm order for 240.000 shares by major shareholder ING Investment

Griesheim, 11th of October 2010: The Management Board and the Supervisory
Board of ralos New Energies AG have decided to increase the share capital
by issuing up to 429.000 bearer shares from approved share capital.
Placement will proceed without granting pre-emption rights to existing
shareholders in accordance with paragraph 186 section. 3 S. 4 of the German
Aktiengesetz (AktG). A firm commitment to sign up for approx. 240.000
shares has been received by the major shareholder ING Investment Management
(Europe) B.V., Den Haag, Netherlands, who already holds 27.4 percent of the
share capital. After full placement of all shares ING's holding will
increase to 29.5%. The remaining shares will be offered German and
international institutional investors. The proceeds are to be used for
increased project development and to increase the company's flexibility to
react to market developments in the photovoltaic business. Close Brothers
Seydler Bank AG acted as Sole Bookrunner on this transaction.
The Group's improving market position is evidenced by the development of
sales and profits. In accordance with IFRS accounting standards, the
Group's sales in the half year year to June 30, 2010, amounted to EUR 59.9
million (2009 full year 81.4 million) and EBIT to Euro 1.4 million (2009
full year minus 7.4 million). On June 30, 2010, the equity ratio was 15.5
percent of assets totaling Euro 63.3 million (December 31, 2009: 17.1
percent of Euro 54.9 million).
