the past three months·Group sales projected to return to double-digit growth
(Halle/Westphalia, 11 Oct. 2010) In the July to September quarter, the
GERRY WEBER Group increased its Retail sales revenues to EUR 29.7 million,
which represents a 14.2 percent increase on the same period of the previous
year (EUR 26.0 million). The Retail segment, which comprises the
company-managed HOUSES OF GERRY WEBER in Germany and abroad, is the
fastest-growing segment of the GERRY WEBER Group. At the nine-month stage
of 2009/10, Retail sales had totalled EUR 124.7 million, up from EUR 101.9
million in the previous year.
'This trend vindicates our strategy to opt for younger collections that
make an even more stylish statement. We thus cater exactly to the needs of
consumers who want high quality and modern design,' said CEO Gerhard Weber.
The company feels it is excellently positioned to reach its growth targets
for the full fiscal year. Group sales revenues will amount to about EUR 620
million (previous year: EUR 594.1 million), while the EBIT margin will rise
to 13 percent (previous year: 12 percent). The GERRY WEBER Group intends to
achieve again double-digit sales growth in the following years that does
not only refer to the Company's own Retail business but also to its
international Wholesale segment. In two to three years, the Company's EBIT
margin is to rise to 15 percent.
