BevMo! Cellar Master Wilfred Wong Receives Wine Person of Excellence Award

A panel of wine consumers, commissioned by Wine Consumer magazine, awarded the Fall 2013 honors to five individuals who embody the spirit of wine excellence and represent today's top thinkers and innovators in wine.
"After more than four decades in the wine industry, it's an honor to receive the Wine Consumer magazine Seal of Excellence award," said Wilfred Wong, official Cellar Master for BevMo!. "My travels have taken me to winemaking regions around the world, where I've been able to expand and diversify my knowledge, and I enjoy sharing my experiences with the BevMo! community and beyond."
Cellar Master Wong, who was also named one of the top 100 most influential people in the U.S. wine industry earlier this year, is a seasoned wine expert and has also been a world renowned judge since 1994. As Cellar Master, he tastes between 6,000 and 9,000 wines annually and often travels to France, Italy, Spain, Chile, Argentina and other winemaking regions to discover new and exciting wines and trends in the industry.
