itelligence AG publishes detailed figures for first nine months of 2010
All segments and divisions contribute to increase in total revenues to MEUR
188.8
Strong growth of 22.9% in Outsourcing&Services
Revenues in Western Europe up 70.8% to MEUR 38.8
Bielefeld, October 28, 2010 - In the first nine months of the current
fiscal year, itelligence AG increased its revenues by 19.3% to MEUR 188.8
(previous year: MEUR 158.3). All of the Company's segments and divisions
contributed to this development. Outsourcing&Services enjoyed
particularly strong revenue growth of 22.9%, from MEUR 56.4 to MEUR 69.3,
while revenues in the Consulting division rose by 19.5% to MEUR 101.9
(previous year: MEUR 85.2). The Licenses division also recorded
year-on-year revenue growth of 4.5% to MEUR 17.2 (previous year: MEUR
16.5). Orders on hand continued to develop positively, increasing by 23% to
MEUR 192.5 at the end of the third quarter of 2010 (previous year: MEUR
156.5).
Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG, commented: 'The third quarter was
extremely strong. We benefited from our targeted acquisitions, which
contributed to the improvement in revenues. We also generated organic
growth of 8.1% in the first nine months of the year. This shows that our
policy of strengthening our core business through strategic acquisitions is
continuing to pay off.'
In the individual segments, revenues in Germany/Austria increased by 0.9%
in the first nine months of 2010, from MEUR 83.6 to MEUR 84.4. Western
Europe saw significant revenue growth of 70.8% - both organic and inorganic
as a result of acquisitions - from MEUR 22.7 to MEUR 38.8. Revenues in the
Eastern Europe segment improved by 11.7% to MEUR 13.1, after MEUR 11.7 in
the same period of the previous year. In the USA, revenues increased by a
substantial 29.0%, from MEUR 37.8 to MEUR 48.7. Despite still being in the
start-up phase, the Asia segment contributed MEUR 1.3 to itelligence AG's
revenues in the first nine months of 2010.
itelligence recorded EBIT growth of 4.3% in the first nine months of 2010,
from MEUR 7.0 to MEUR 7.3. During this period, EBIT was impacted by
non-recurring acquisition costs in the amount of MEUR 1.2. The EBIT margin
for the first nine months was 3.9% after 4.4% in the previous year. IFRS
net profit for the period totaled MEUR 3.3 compared with MEUR 4.5 in the
previous year. This development is attributable to the non-recurring
acquisition costs as well as the high tax rate within the Group. Earnings
per share amounted to EUR 0.13 after EUR 0.18 in the first nine months of
2009.
Norbert Rotter, CFO of itelligence AG: 'Based on the improved business
performance in the third quarter, we have decided to raise our revenue
guidance for 2010 as a whole. We now expect revenues to increase to MEUR
260-265. With the EBIT margin still forecast at between 5.2% and 5.6%, this
will also result in earnings growth in absolute terms.'
