MW Cleaners, Largest Dry Cleaners in Houston, Gives Away 32,000 Free Shirts
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 12/16/13 -- MW Cleaners, a local chain of , gave away about 32,000 vouchers for free $50 shirts in 2013 to customers participating in a program called "The Shirt Off Our Back." The ongoing customer appreciation program is a success and increasing business for the largest dry cleaners in Houston.
"We've had a huge response," says MW Cleaners President Michael Nesbit. "It's a big deal."
kicked off in January 2013, offering customers who launder a shirt 20 times at MW Cleaners a $50 gift certificate for a free shirt or other merchandise from The Men's Wearhouse, a national men's dress apparel retailer. Participating customers can see how many times they laundered each shirt by looking at their receipt.
For now, MW Cleaners plans to continue the free shirt program into 2014. Nesbit says if they decide to discontinue it, the company will allow everyone already participating at least an additional year to meet their next 20 shirts and receive a voucher.
An "overwhelming majority" of customers are involved in the program, says Nesbit. A valid email address is the only requirement for participation; no registration or fee required other than the cost of cleaning shirts. The $50 voucher makes those cleaning costs virtually free, he says.
"Many people ask how we are able to do this," he says. "It is because of our business relationship with The Men's Wearhouse."
MW Cleaners is a division of The Men's Wearhouse. The free shirt program provides value proposition for the dry cleaning company and customer acquisition for the dress clothing retailer, Nesbit explains. Shirt volume at MW Cleaners is up about 17 percent since the program began, Nesbit says.
The program is also a way for MW Cleaners to show appreciation of its customers. MW Cleaners, a high-quality, offering , cleans about 20 million pieces annually, including about 6 million retail with the remainder tuxedo cleaning. That makes the company the world's largest dry cleaners, says Nesbit.
