In 1990 murdermysterytexas arrived in Dallas and began to change the dinner theater scene in the area. Their interactive murder mystery dinners gave guests the ability to be actively engaged in their dinner entertainment, rather than just sitting back and watching a show. Because of this interactivity and the high quality of the shows, murdermysterytexas soon expanded to cover Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
The New Year’s Eve Gala is set to be their biggest and best show so far. Held at the Omni Park West, one of Dallas’ best luxury hotels, the Gala will provide all of the food and entertainment that a couple could want for their New Year’s celebration. The event starts at 8:30 with drinks and a reception, where guests get to know each other before the mystery begins. After a bit the hotel staff will provide a gourmet dinner, during which the guests will be presented with their murder mystery and for the next couple of hours guests will attempt to solve the puzzle. The staff at murdermysterytexas understands that guests will want to do more than just solve the mystery, so after the killer is revealed and awards are given for the best solutions, guests will have the opportunity to drink and dance for the rest of the evening. The basic packages include all of this, plus champagne for a midnight toast for $139 per person, while an additional $130 a couple will give guests access to a hotel room for the night and breakfast in the morning.
