GEEO Announces Summer Travel to Europe
Nonprofit travel operator Global Expeditions for Educators Organization (GEEO) offers U.S. teachers one-of-a-kind worldwide travel adventures and lessons they can bring back to their classrooms.
(firmenpresse) - Ardmore, Pennsylvania — The first lessons about foreign cultures and the world around us often begin in the classroom with the help of textbooks and teachers. To help teachers bring foreign travel and cultural lessons to life for their students, GEEO believes teachers should have the opportunity to experience worldwide travel firsthand.
In summer 2014 GEEO will feature several European teacher tours at www.geeo.org including programs in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Teachers can experience ancient ruins and historical sites, rugged hikes and haute cuisine, breezy beaches and even bedtime in a sixteenth-century monastery.
A special feature of every GEEO travel experience is the availability of discounts or travel grants for teachers at geeo.org , often in collaboration with academic institutions such as the University of Texas at Austin, New York University, Yale University and the University of Pittsburgh.
