PAYSMART has special advantages for small retailers: no additional devices necessary. The German DAX-listed Deutsche Post is valuephone’s next large customer for mobile loyalty. Before, valuephone was selected by Deutsche Telekom, Netto and EDKEA for mobile couponing or mobile payment solutions.

The innovative service PAYSMART is implemented on basis of the valuephone mobile technology platform. Customers using the free PAYSMART-App can pay with their smart phone in every registered shop. PAYSMART has special advantages for small retailers: no additional devices necessary. The German DAX-listed Deutsche Post is valuephone’s next large customer for mobile loyalty. Before, valuephone was selected by Deutsche Telekom, Netto and EDKEA for mobile couponing or mobile payment solutions.
How PAYSMART functions: the customer downloads the PAYSMART-App on his mobile phone and registers for mobile payment. Then the payment is very easy: At the cashier the customer scans the QR-Code of the entire shopping and approves the payment. The shop must be registered for PAYSMART.
PAYSMART is a real mobile payment solution. valuephone’s software transforms and transmits the QR-Codes from the customers mobile phone to the payment provider.
There are no sensible or private data stored on the customer’s mobile phone, as bank account numbers or any transaction information. The mobile phone serves only as authentication tool. Also, coupons or vouchers are automatically recognized and deducted from the receipt. The mobile payment solution of Deutsche Post is the only mobile payment solution in the market, which combines couponing and payment without any additional hardware (terminals), as well as having the unique security architecture. PAYSMART was especially developed for Deutsche Post. „Deutsche Post is a strategic customer for us. Our platform approach has the advantage to combine mobile payment with others loyalty functions. This fact was again decisive”, says Stefan Krueger, General Manager and founder of valuephone GmbH.
Mobile payment, couponing and retailer portal
Besides mobile payment, PAYSMART enables retailers also to gain new customers. Therefore, PAYSMART also offers a portal for the retailer’s marketing activities like promotions, advertisements, coupons or vouchers. PAYSMART starts now in the region of Cologne and Bonn (Germany), and will be extended countrywide at a later stage.
