Talesun Anadolu Solar Enerji begins Operations in Turkey
Satisfies Competition Commission and Completes Registration
(PresseBox) - Talesun Solar, a leading international manufacturer of highquality solar modules and cells, and Anadolu Enerji Üretim A.? have received the green light from the local authorities for their joint venture Talesun Anadolu Solar Enerji. The Turkish company BS Yatirim Co. also forms a part of the joint venture. With the official formation and registration, and having satisfied the country's Competition Commission, the Ankara-based company is now beginning business operations.
The business partners announced the formation of the joint venture at the end of 2013. Its aim is to benefit from the positive market development in Turkey and its neighboring states, and to support this development through the provision of high-quality modules and know-how. These ambitions are reflected in the aims for the first two years of operations: "2014 will be the set up year, when we put our tried and tested structures in place," says Gregor Albrecht, Managing Director at Talesun Solar Germany GmbH. "This will enable us to offer our Turkish customers the same excellent Talesun service that our clients in worldwide have come to expect in the project business and the module distribution."
Dynamic Market Entry: Trade Show Participation and Local Production Possibilities.
In order to make this a reality, Talesun Anadolu Solar Enerji is vigorously carrying out its market entry. The company will be participating at Solarex, the leading Turkish PV trade-show, which takes place at the trade-show grounds in Istanbul, between 10th and 12th April. The joint venture will also be making an appearance at the accompanying conference, PV Power Plants, on 9th and 10th of April. The central theme at the trade-show reflects the underlying philosophy of the joint venture; the advantages of combining German engineering expertise with local market knowledge provided by established partners in the country.
In line with this, Gregor Albrecht emphasizes the advantages for investors: "We're mapping the complete value chain - from the project development and implementation, across the pre and intermediate financing, through to the handover of the fully-functioning solar park." In addition, the participating companies are examining the possibility of constructing a production facility in Turkey.
The Turkish market is particularly attractive for renewable energies. Until now, the country has been primarily reliant on the importation of fossil fuels to meet its supply needs. To rectify this situation, Turkey has set itself the goal of providing 30 percent of its total electricity provision from renewable energy by 2023, the centenary of the country's founding. The capacity goal for solar energy has been set at three gigawatt by the government in Istanbul.
