Unterschleissheim near Munich, January 13, 2011, Dr. Hans Volkert Volckens
(aged 40) will join the management board of IC Immobilien Holding AG in
Unterschleissheim during the second quarter of this year.
A trained lawyer, Dr. Volckens started his career as an attorney and tax
consultant heading the tax and fund department of an international law firm
before transferring into the management of Hannover Leasing in 2008. Here,
his sphere of ownership included the domestic real estate business,
selected international real estate projects, the institutional business,
and the areas legal and taxes, among others.
In conjunction with his transfer to IC Immobilien Holding AG, Dr. Volckens
will successively take over the business areas headed by founder and CEO
Dr. Oscar Kienzle so far. Upon reaching the age of retirement in 2011, Dr.
Kienzle will end his term as CEO.
Volckens and Kienzle, who have known each other for years, deeply
appreciate each other. In 2007, for instance, the team of Dr. Volckens
facilitated the IPO of Fair Value REIT AG, a subsidiary of IC Immobilien
Holding AG and Germany's first Up-REIT.
'I am very glad to have found the right kind of successors in Oliver
Priggemeyer and Hans Volkert Volckens to steer the company competently
toward future success as experienced real estate experts,' said Kienzle,
who will continue to be a significant shareholder in IC.
