Hohenstein-Ernstthal, 28 January 2011 - The Roth&Rau Group managed to
acquire new orders worth EUR 31.9 million in total in the first weeks of
the new year already. Most of the orders related to the newest generation
of the SiNA antireflective coating system series successfully launched onto
the market last year. The intensive product development work in recent
years is thus impacting positively on the current order situation.
The company's innovative strength also received praise this week from the
audit and advisory company Deloitte. Within its 'Partners of the Region'
SME programme, Deloitte singled out medium-sized companies for its Axia
Award in recognition of outstanding achievements. Roth&Rau won the prize
in the 'Culture of Innovation - Key Success Factor for SMEs' category and
is thus one of four prize winners this year.
The jury was especially convinced by Roth&Rau's corporate culture. This
too has helped the company become the technological leader in numerous
areas of equipment for the photovoltaics industry. Among the factors
driving this success are the close dovetailing of the company's two
proprietary technology centres in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and Neuchâtel with
leading international research institutes and universities, its sharing of
expertise with customers and the structural integration of all of its
employees into the innovation process.
Not only that, Roth&Rau was also awarded the 'Top Job' quality seal this
week, and is thus listed among Germany's best employers. For this award,
the University of St. Gallen once a year investigates the human resources
departments at 169 medium-sized German companies across all sectors. It
analyses all key personnel management instruments and carries out employee
surveys. The 72 best employers, including Roth&Rau, are then awarded the
'Top Job' designation for one year.
The jury particularly praised Roth&Rau's family-friendly organisational
structure, which enables company employees to combine their work and family
commitments more easily. Alongside flexible working hours, the company's
own kindergarten and crèche ensure that optimal supervision is available
for employees' children. Roth&Rau also promotes the children's early
development. The kindergarten thus takes part in the 'House of Young
Researchers' Foundation, which offers games bringing boys and girls aged
three to six into contact with natural sciences and technology.
