Office / New Cabinet to Hold its First Session on February 3, 2011
Haslemere, United Kingdom - February 2, 2011 - The formation of a new
government for the Republic of Srpska, a process that started in December
2010, has finally been concluded. According to a news release by the
Official Gazette of the Government of the Republic of Srpska on January 31,
2011, the council of the Federal Constitutional Court rejected the
complaint filed by the Bosniaks against Prime Minister Aleksander D?ombi?and confirmed him in office along with his cabinet. Die new government will
come together for its first session on February 3, 2011, and the official
appointment will have to be reconfirmed by the Official Gazette of the
Government of the Republic of Srpska that same day.
Aleksander D?ombi?, Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, already
announced ahead of time that the government would immediately start
operating at full capacity: 'The Constitutional Court ruled in our favour
in every point. Still, it is regrettable that the Bosnians used this unfair
procedure to intentionally keep the government from commencing its work -
this has cost us an entire month, and unnecessarily so,' said D?ombi?.
'Once the Government of the Republic of Srpska is finally capable of
acting, we expect to see shortly a government communiquéannouncing the
exclusion of the Greek Public Power Company (PPC) from the tendering
procedure of the Government of the Republic of Srpska for the planned
construction of four hydroelectric plants on the Upper Drina, and the
opening of direct talks with international investors by the tender
commission,' said Dr. Rolf Haferkamp, CEO of United Energy Group. 'This
will ensure that only financially potent companies that meet the
qualification criteria will be shortlisted for the selection of a strategic
partner.'
