Insurance conditions for the WST series adjusted to conditions of the WSP series
(firmenpresse) - Creglingen, 18.06.2014 – WINAICO, a subsidiary of Taiwan’s biggest solar module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co, Ltd., will adjust the insurance conditions of the WST series to match the conditions of the WSP series from July 1st 2014 on. This means that this insurance coverage will also include the first two years for free on the photovoltaic modules of the WST series. Furthermore the operator has the possibility to extend the insurance coverage by eight years to a total of ten years as they would for WINAICO’s WSP series.
The “3in1“ insurance package of WINAICO covers the whole photovoltaic system against any material damage, interruption of service and possible reduction in yield.
WINAICO introduced this insurance package for the WSP series at the beginning of 2011 to all its customers. The number of system operators turning to the comprehensive insurance package is rising, there are 4,200 registered insurance packages so far.
“The demand for our WST solar modules for commercial projects is increasing sharply at the moment and because of this it was an important concern for us to improve the conditions and thereby giving our customers even more security“ said Marc Ortmanns, Head of European Sales and Marketing.
The insurance package was created in cooperation with Willis Group Holdings plc, one of the world’s leading insurance brokers. The scope of insurance cover is underwritten by the renowned European insurance company ERGO Versicherung AG. The conditions are valid for all EU countries.
