Digitally Networked: New Services for the Air Spring Replacement Business
GTINs allow for speedy identification and make stockkeeping easier / Successful web app for the air spring replacement business now available in additional languages
(PresseBox) - ContiTech Air Spring Systems is enhancing its digital service offering for the air spring replacement market. Since 2014, air springs are being assigned a product label with a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN). Product information can be retrieved at any time by scanning the barcode shown on the item, which makes stockkeeping easier. "The GTIN encoding system is used all over the world and in many companies forms the basis for automated stock management systems," says Alexander Papadimitriou, head of the Independent Aftermarket segment at ContiTech Air Spring Systems. "Many of our business partners are also using the system and are now benefiting from the coding of our products."
ContiTech has created an individual GTIN for each air spring reference. This code allows products and packages to be identified easily at all times, thereby excluding the risk of assignment and input errors. This helps to significantly speed up storage and retrieval processes.
Mobile product search in additional languages
ContiTech Air Spring Systems has also upgraded its successful web app. The version for the European market is now available in additional languages. Alongside German and English versions, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, and Russian versions are now also available. The web app featuring all of these languages is available from www.contitech.de/acv-app. Alternatively, you can download it directly onto your smartphone by scanning the QR code found on information brochures and advertisements.
The app locates the right ContiTech - or, alternatively, PHOENIX - air spring when the competitor's designation or the OE part number is entered. In addition, a special submenu allows users to call up useful product information such as technical data and drawings based on the ContiTech online catalog. This information can also be downloaded in PDF format.
