COR&FJA and Merkur Versicherung sign contract for integrated use of the
COR.FJA Insurance Suite by Merkur subsidiaries

(Leinfelden-Echterdingen, 11 April 2011) - The COR&FJA Group,
Leinfelden-Echterdingen, and the Austrian company Merkur Versicherung AG
(Merkur), Graz, have signed a contract under which Merkur is going to use
almost the entire COR.FJA Insurance Suite to handle its south-eastern
European subsidiaries' life assurance and composite insurance business. The
project's volume is in the high seven-digit range.

This means that for the first time, an insurance company will be using the
COR.FJA Insurance Suite across sector boundaries, while making use of two
central components: COR.FJA Life for administration in the life assurance
segment, and the policy management system COR.FJA P&C for composite
insurance. Not only the holistic character of the COR.FJA Insurance Suite,
but also the system's multilanguage and multi-currency capacity are of
crucial significance for the current collaboration: this will make it
possible to deploy the COR&FJA solution as from mid-2012 at every one of
Merkur's five south-eastern European subsidiaries in Slovenia, Croatia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro. Before deployment begins, a
total of some 450,000 policies will be imported into the new system as the
previous system is replaced.

The project was launched in mid-2009 with an initialisation phase for
project planning and specialist analysis. The autumn of 2009 marked the
beginning of the concept phase, in which the COR&FJA components were

presented and aligned with Merkur's group-wide requirements. In this phase
it was possible to identify, in particular, Merkur's country-specific
project phases and possible additional requirements and thus increase
assessment accuracy. The project was officially launched in mid-September
2010.

The COR.FJA Insurance Suite is a complete solution for insurance companies
(life and non-life), which consists of upgradable and highly configurable
standard software components and fully replicates all the relevant business
processes in an insurance company.

The high configurability and modern, service-oriented technology mean that
changes can be made rapidly to products and processes, enabling quick
responses to customer requirements and market developments. The components
of the COR.FJA Insurance Suite can be combined in a customised way or
deployed as stand-alone services.

Further COR&FJA modules, individual enhancements and/or software
components from other suppliers can be integrated using the system's
standard interfaces. This enables customers to structure their IT
environments in a manner consistent with their own needs.
