Catalina Film Fest to Honor Nicolas Cage and Emmy Rossum at September 24-28 Festival
Award-Winning Actors Round Out Roster of 2014 Honorees Including William H. Macy, Andy Garcia, Roman Coppola & Jason Ritter
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/19/14 -- (CFF) announces additional 2014 Festival honorees to be celebrated when the Fest takes over Catalina Island next week. On the 100 Year Celebration of Charlie Chaplin's legendary career and advent of his iconic TRAMP character, the festival will screen the TRAMP's first 1914 appearance in Kid Auto Races At Venice, and Academy Award winner, will be honored with the Charlie Chaplin ICON award prior to the screening of his film Left Behind on Friday, Sept. 26. This award is presented annually to an actor or filmmaker whose work embodies Charles Spencer Chaplin's qualities of realism, diversity and courage within his craft.
On Saturday, Sept. 27, Golden Globe nominee, (The Phantom of the Opera, Shameless) will attend the Fest to receive the Avalon award, which honors an actor or filmmaker making waves within the Hollywood community by continually entering "uncharted waters" within their career and standing out from their peers.
2014 include (Stanley Kramer "Social Artist" award); (Ronald Reagan Great Communicator award): (Catalina Crest award) and producer, writer and Academy Award nominee, (Vanguard award).
Additional guests scheduled to attend include (Sparkle, American Idol); (Girl Meets World, Boy Meets World); (American Idol, RENT); (The Young and the Restless, Pandora's Box); (Bar America, Contracted); (Left Behind, Big Love).
