TruStone Financial Breaks Ground on New Flagship Branch in Golden Valley
(firmenpresse) - PLYMOUTH, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 09/25/14 -- TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union broke ground on its future branch in Golden Valley on Wednesday, September 24. Located on the corner of Boone Avenue North and Olson Memorial Highway, this branch will replace the current location at 6500 Olson Memorial Highway. Chief Executive Officer Tim Bosiacki and Chairman of the Board Tom Alagna turned the first shovel of earth as the board of directors, key credit union stakeholders, general contractors and architects observed.
"We are excited to continue our longstanding commitment to having a branch in Golden Valley," said Alagna. "Having a location in the west metro that businesses and residents can call their primary financial institution is important to us."
The 5,500 square foot building will feature a comparable open concept floor plan to other recently built and renovated TruStone Financial locations with teller pods, a concierge station, the latest in modern design and technology and a financial literacy library. Staples of the existing Golden Valley branch, including safe deposit boxes, two drive-up lanes and a 24-hour ATM, will remain intact at the new location. "The smaller footprint is a nod to the advancement of technology and increased efficiencies," said Bosiacki. "The new building's design is the result of an extensive review of our current and future members' needs, and an in-depth study of successful financial service industry branches. We're excited to get started on this next phase of continuing to deliver the best service to our members and customers."
The new building, designed by HTG Architects of Eden Prairie, will be constructed with Twin Cities' labor and regional materials selected by general contractor Shingobee Builders.
In addition, the credit union selected items and processes intended to improve building performance associated to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) including LED lighting, energy management, construction waste management, no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), centralized building lighting control system, storm water management and more.
The new branch will be located at 605 Boone Avenue North and is slated to open in the fall of 2015.
