Tobias Janssen, CEO of Goldfish Holdings, Inc. has recruited former
Volkswagen manager, Professor Hans-Ulrich Sachs, to strengthen the team.
Prof. Sachs is taking over the position of General Executive Manager within
the consultancy. 'With Prof. Sachs we have acquired for our company an
experienced manager and absolute expert on the German economy,' says a
pleased Tobias Janssen.
Prof. Sachs has many years experience in top management positions and as a
management consultant. From 1999-2003, the industrial engineer was the
chief sales officer of the worldwide sale of the Volkswagen brand and board
member of Dekra AG. Prior to this, Prof. Sachs was branch manager of
Deutsche Leasing AG and the managing director of a subsidiary of the
Deutsche Bank in Indonesia. For many years he was chairman of the board of
Germany's largest car dealer, SG-Holding AG in Stuttgart, and during this
time he founded the SG-Bank and Hyundai Motor Deutschland. Since 2003,
Prof. Sachs has been working as an independent management consultant for
restructuring, interim management, and financing issues.
Since 2000, the 58-year-old has been an honorary professor at the
University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen. He is also a member of the
board of trustees of the W.A. Klein Foundation, which endeavors to help
fund students studying at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.
Goldfish Holdings, Inc. consults and accompanies companies to secure new
sources of financing through the capital markets. Given the growing demand
particularly from mid-sized companies for non-bank advice in questions
concerning financial and capital markets, the Düsseldorf-based company
plans to expand its team of consultants even more this year. Janssen
explains the growing interest in alternative financing possibilities by
saying that, 'the financial crisis made it quite clear to every business
person that independent advice is of pivotal importance.'
