Vancouver Benefit Concert Band Together Adds More Musicians to Star-Studded Lineup

Vancouver's Own Dustin Bentall and Star Fiddler Kendel Carson Added to Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness Concert Featuring Blue Rodeo and High Valley


(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/02/14 -- The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) has added the talents of and to its roster for their benefit concert taking place at Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The Band Together show will be headlined by Canada's own , with special guests Dustin Bentall, Kendel Carson and country band .

Vancouver-born Dustin Bentall is the son of Canadian roots rocker Barney Bentall, and has toured with Kathleen Edwards, Blue Rodeo, Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and more. Playing with Bentall is Kendel Carson, a rock and roll fiddle player and singer whose collaborations play like a who's who of Canadian music.

"Not only will this concert directly help the cause of ending homelessness in Canada, but it will also showcase some of Canada's best musical talent," says Tim Richter, President & CEO of the CAEH, "I'm so pleased with how many talented musicians are joining us to Band Together in Vancouver for an amazing evening of entertainment."

CAEH will direct concert proceeds to develop and pilot a national campaign to house and support 20,000 of Canada's most vulnerable homeless people. This is the first of what the CAEH expects will become an annual concert series.

Band Together is taking place in connection with the second annual from November 3 to 5 at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver. The conference will bring more than 700 policy makers, funders, researchers, advocates, community leaders, front line workers and people with lived experience of homelessness to Vancouver in support of a shared mission to end homelessness in Canada. The conference will arm participants with the inspiration, information, tools and training they need to end homelessness in their communities.
