(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Company Announcement to the Danish Financial Supervisory AuthorityNo. 11-2009, 9 July 2009FLSmidth Minerals has received orders worth USD 41m (DKK 220m) fromIndia based Utkal Alumina International Limited for a bauxitegrinding and a mud washing plant. The contracts include design,engineering, supply, installation and commissioning.This order for bauxite mills confirms FLSmidth's leadership in thealumina market in India having secured the last three successivecontracts from different customers. The bauxite grinding packageincludes three 300 tonnes per hour rod mills, bauxite storage silos,handling equipment and pumps.The mud washing package includes nine settler/washer tanks in washingcircuit along with flocculant dosing systems, holding tanks,pumps/valves and piping. The decantation circuit is an integral partof all alumina plants, with FLSmidth being the market leaderworldwide in designing these systems.
