Frankfurt am Main, 17 May 2011. Joyou AG, a leading bathroom solution
supplier in China, further pursues its strategy to shift from outsourced
production to own manufacturing. After starting in-house production of both
Shower Enclosures and Bathroom Cabinets in Q3 2010, Joyou now has began the
own production of acrylic Bathtubs.
The first phase of the new in-house production of Bathtubs has a capacity
of 500 units per month. 15 models are ready for production and 3 more
models are in the R&D stage.
The in-house production of Shower Enclosures and Bathroom Cabinets has been
very successful:
- The own production of Shower Enclosures which was started in Q3 2010 now
accounts for nearly 100% of sales and capacity has been built up to 5,000
units per month. 11 models are already in production and 7 more are
currently in the R&D stage.
- Our in-house production of Bathroom Cabinets which was started in Q3 2010
currently manufactures 12 different models and 11 more are in the R&D
stage. The capacity of 2,500 units per month allows Joyou to produce the
majority of Bathroom Cabinets in-house.
Joyou intends to further expand its product offering and to shift more and
more from outsourced production to own manufacturing. Joyou believes that
this strategy will enhance product quality, design and profitability.

profit (EBIT) of EUR 43.7 million and a net profit of EUR 33.2 million.
