SAW GmbH&Co. KG to Optimise Planning Accuracy and Economic Efficiency
with iTWO from RIB
SCHLESWIG, May 27th, 2011. RIB has won one of the top construction
companies in Schleswig-Holstein, SAW Schleswiger Asphaltsplitt-Werke GmbH&Co. KG, subsidiary of the Danish Construction Group Arkil AS, as its latest
German customer. The Group, which not only produces asphalt but also offers
all the main construction services in road and civil engineering, decided
to implement RIB's software system iTWO Business Suite throughout the
company in the first quarter of 2011.
The company aims to achieve an integrated and process-oriented work method
for all disciplines with the support of iTWO and expects major time savings
in the area of budget estimating and costing. In future, iTWO will be
installed as standard software at 80 workplaces in the SAW company to help
the engineering and construction teams enhance the accuracy of the planning
of all types of construction project, from asphalt road construction
through road and civil engineering all the way to sewer construction.

Bernd Petersen. 'We want to be sure of meeting all the specifications in
road construction, civil engineering and infrastructure management. To do
this, we need innovative, state-of-the-art technology and competent,
motivated staff. We made the strategic decision to implement RIB software

companies when working in large consortiums. Another reason we opted for
iTWO, being a subsidiary of a Scandinavian construction group, was the

SAW also expects the 5D software solution for digital engineering and
construction to offer vast potential in the near future for more economical
project management in the civil engineering and infrastructure management
sector, its primary business.
