TOM TAILOR opens 200th retail store

Hamburg, 31 May 2011. The lifestyle company TOM TAILOR has opened its 200th
TOM TAILOR retail store in Venlo, the Netherlands. This marks a further
milestone in the company's growth strategy which focuses on expanding its
self-managed distribution areas of retail stores, franchise stores and
shop-in-shops. TOM TAILOR has increased the number of its own retail stores
from 87 at the end of 2009 to 158 at the end of 2010 and has now a total
number of 200 stroes. In the current financial year the company intends to
open a total of 60 to 70 new retail stores in Germany and abroad.
'The opening of our 200th retail store is a key milestone of our expansion.
We see considerable growth potential for our two brands TOM TAILOR Casual
and TOM TAILOR Denim and are systematically developing our presence in
Germany and in our core markets abroad. Distribution areas we control
ourselves give us greater proximity to the customer. This means we can
tailor our offering closely in line with the needs of our customers and
offer the right products at the right time,' comments Dieter Holzer, CEO of
TOM TAILOR Holding AG.
The 200th retail store is the first purely TOM TAILOR Denim store in the
Netherlands. It is centrally located in Venlo in the Maasboulevard, a
completely newly built shopping and office complex with a large number of
retail and office units. TOM TAILOR has 114 square metres of space where it
presents its two young fashion lines, TOM TAILOR Denim Male and TOM TAILOR
Denim Female. This is the third TOM TAILOR retail store in the Netherlands,
following stores in Dordrecht and Zwolle. The lifestyle company now has a
total of seven stores in the Benelux countries, which it manages itself.
