Procon Q1 posts revenue of EUR 25.8 million / EBITDA EUR 2.1 million

Hamburg, 31 May 2011 - PROCON MultiMedia AG (ISIN: DE0005122006, Prime
Standard), a world-leading full-service provider of technical equipment for
events and film/television production, has posted revenue of EUR 25.8
million for the first quarter of 2011 compared to EUR 24.4 million one year
ago. Gross profit declined from EUR 4.1 million to EUR 3.2 million.
EBITDA for Q1 2011 came in at EUR 2.1 million versus EUR 4.0 million for Q1
last year. Earnings before taxes fell from 0.1 million for the quarter last
year to EUR -1.6 million. Earnings per share amounted to EUR -0.05, versus
EUR -0.01 one year ago.
The first quarter's results are in line with estimates announced at the end
of last year, that 2011 would be lower due to a dearth of major events in
both European and international markets. If the core European markets
recover however, this would positively impact the Group's business.
In the first quarter of 2011 Procon managed the Echo Awards and numerous
national and international exhibition stands, for example at the
International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland.
