Simufact offers the 'Scientific Publication Award'
The award is endowed with Euro 1.000 and serves to promote practice-relevant scientific publications for industrial application.
(firmenpresse) - Hamburg, October 9, 2014 - Simufact Engineering, software provider for industrial forming and manufacturing processes is newly presenting the 'Simufact Scientific Publication Award'. With this award Simufact is honoring particularly practice-relevant scientific publications of research and development projects, in which Simufact software was used.
'We see ourselves as a link between academic development and industrial application', said Dr. Ralph Bernhard, Director of Research & Innovation at Simufact. 'Scientific publications dealing with a distinct problem definition and offering initial stages of solutions are of a particular importance - we seek to support such works', stated Bernhardt. 'Strategic and long-term relevant topics of research and development are integrated in our simulation software for manufacturing processes. Respectively, demands and innovations of the industry are implemented into research.'
The award, endowed with 1.000 euros, will be awarded annually at the Simufact user conference RoundTable Simulating Manufacturing in Germany, beginning in May 2015. The winner and first runner-up will receive the opportunity of presenting his or her findings to the participants of the RoundTable.
Application requirements for the 'Simufact Scientific Publication Award':
- The discussed topic must be highly practice-relevant to the industry
- Simufact software must have been used in in the project
- The article must have been published in a trade journal/ scientific journal
- a minimum of three, but no more than twelve months prior to the RoundTable
- The main author must be a student or employee at the university / institute
For many years now Simufact has been actively involved in research projects, primarily in the field of academic fundamental and applied sciences; here, Simufact cooperates with a number of well-known institutes and research facilities.
The application deadline for the Simufact Scientific Publication Award is February 28th 2015.
