Two-Day Pride Fest an Event All Lakeview Can Enjoy

(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/14/14 -- The Pride Fest was held this year on June 21-22 along North Halsted, between Belmont and Addison. The event features two days of performances on two stages, arts, crafts, food, and other attractions. Headlining is Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson. The event is traditionally held as a primer for the Pride Parade, which takes place the following weekend.
The event was hosted by the Northalsted Business Alliance, which was founded in 1980 by a small group of merchants in the neighborhood. The Alliance is part of the reason why this region has such a thriving shopping and entertainment district. Sponsoring events like the Pride Fest helps attract a diverse population of customers to the area and ensures the profitability and growth of the region.
