Summer on Southport Offers Art, Music, and Food

(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/14/14 -- Summer on Southport took over Waveland and Southport on July 12 and 13, offering an eclectic mix of fine art by day and music by night. The festival ran 10am-10pm Saturday and 10am-9pm Sunday.
Visitors to the festival enjoyed the tree-lined streets of the iconic Southport Corridor, which will feature some of Chicago's best artists. The artists come from a diverse background and utilize a wide variety of media, from oils, acrylics, and watercolors, to photography, fiber, and mixed media. At night, some of the city's favorite bands will take the stage and play memorable favorites of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, alongside contemporary hits.

The event also has a special children's area with interactive games and memorable activities that will keep the kids engaged and excited.
