Join local Business Revitalization Zones (BRZ), business owners, and government representatives as we kick off the first edition of the Shop The Neighbourhood campaign in Calgary.

Why: Expanding on the success of last year's movement, Shop The Neighbourhood takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 and encourages Canadians to support their local neighbourhood businesses by making a local purchase.

After a successful event in Toronto in 2013, this year's Shop The Neighbourhood will include awareness campaigns in Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa.

Specifically sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year, the event is a reminder to Canadians that their dollars have a greater impact in their communities when spent locally.
