Greenworld Wind Power to Acquire Interest in PhilCarbon Incorporated Wind
Energy Projects
Toronto, Canada - (For immediate release) - June 1, 2011 Greenworld Wind
Power Co. Ltd. (Greenworld Wind): Deutsche Börse symbol: GWD
(www.greenworldpower.ca), advised today that it has entered into an
agreement to acquire a 49% interest in PhilCarbon Incorporated, a Makati
City, Philippines based company active in the wind energy sector.
PhilCarbon currently has two projects underway; one in Bulalacao in
Oriental Mindoro, and a second in Sagada, Mountain Province.
The agreement will see Greenworld invest Php 6.5 million to acquire the 49%
interest in PhilCarbon, with the understanding that an additional Php 12 -
15 million will need to be raised in order to complete the feasibility and
evaluation studies for the projects.
It is anticipated that actual construction costs for the projects will be
in the range of $185 - $200 million USD, based on favorable evaluation
studies.
