GERRY WEBER International AG today announced that the issue of free shares
on a 1:1 basis decided by the Annual General Meeting on 24 May 2011 will be
effected on 4 July 2011.
Prior to the start of trading on this day, shareholders' securities
accounts will be changed, with each shareholder receiving one additional
share for each share held in GERRY WEBER International AG. The number of
shares issued will double from 22,952,980 to 45,905,960. At the same time,
the share price will be adjusted accordingly. The respective amendments to
the company's statutes have been entered in the Commercial Register.
'The aim of the share price adjustment is to make the GERRY WEBER share
accessible to an even larger group of shareholders and to ultimately
increase the liquidity of the share,' said Gerhard Weber, CEO of GERRY
WEBER International AG. Besides the recently announced rise to the MDAX,
this move will also help to make the GERRY WEBER share even more
attractive.
