Young Francophones in the Clare region will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique educational and cultural experience in their native language, thanks to a project by the Federation regionale des arts et du patrimoine de la Baie Sainte-Marie.

Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), today announced $10,000 in funding for the Federation regionale des arts et du patrimoine de la Baie Sainte-Marie. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Patrimoni'art project was launched on September 1, 2014 and will continue until March 31, 2015. About 20 young people will take part in workshops on producing short films and radio vignettes about cultural heritage. They will also conduct research in their community, with the help of volunteers, to learn about Acadian historical heritage.
