MAGIX AG takes over yellow tools

Berlin, 19 July 2011 - Prime Standard-listed and Berlin-based MAGIX AG
(ISIN DE0007220782) has acquired all rights to the technology and products
of yellow tools GbR based in Karlsruhe as part of an asset deal. Both
companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
yellow tools is a major manufacturer of software sampler technology and
virtual instruments. MAGIX considers the company, which was founded in
1999, to be a perfect partner for expanding its audio sector.
Jürgen Jaron, CEO of MAGIX AG, sums up, 'We are very pleased that our
productive cooperation with yellow tools has now culminated in such a
successful outcome. In addition to acquiring its technology, we will
integrate the entire yellow tools team into our newly founded MAGIX Audio
GmbH. yellow tools produces sounds and applications that meet the highest
standards, something which we will benefit from in the next product
releases.'
In the past years, MAGIX has cooperated closely with yellow tools, thus
forming a common base that enables synergies to be released quickly. The
technology and instruments developed by yellow tools are a logic complement
to the MAGIX product range. This should increase the value of all of the
MAGIX audio products, from the professional software solutions to the
top-selling consumer products.
