(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Rig utilisation in the second quarter of 2009 was 86 per cent.MSV Regalia was at the Keppel Verolme yard in Rotterdam in the secondquarter to undertake a major refurbishment. MSV Regalia left KeppelVerolme on 5 June to install thrusters and later commence sea trialsand testing before mobilising to the Norwegian North Sea. MSV Regaliastarted operation for BP at the Valhall field on 12 July.Safe Scandinavia operated for BP at the Valhall field until 9 June,after which the rig mobilised to the yard in Invergordon. She will beout of operation for six to seven weeks to allow for a five-week yardstay and mobilization before commencing a 65-day contract for Shellin the UK North Sea towards the end of July 2009.Safe Concordia started operation for Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico 8May.Safe Astoria is in layup at the Kemaman yard in Malaysia. InFebruary, SEIC notified Prosafe of termination of the remainingcontract duration from early March onwards. Prosafe has received 85per cent of the remaining contract value. Safe Astoria will commencea new contract in early November.All other vessels have been fully utilised in the second quarter.Prosafe is the world's leading owner and operator of semi-submersibleaccommodation/service rigs.
