Stratos Product Development and Response Biomedical Partner to Develop Internationalized Diagnostic Device for Distribution to China and Other Markets

In April, Response Biomedical announced it received ) to sell the RAMP 200 Reader in the Chinese market. Per the April 28 press release, the new, internationalized version of the RAMP 200 Reader is "a pivotal step forward" in increasing Response Biomedical's market penetration in this region. The market potential for diagnostic products in China is rapidly expanding and Response has the necessary resources and partnerships in place to meet the growing market demand for the RAMP 200 and cardiac diagnostic tests. They have distribution agreements in place to support product representation in China for the next two years.

Stratos and Response Biomedical partnered on the initial development of the RAMP 200, a novel lateral flow immunoassay platform that provides quantitative results in minutes. The RAMP 200 was designed by the Stratos team to incorporate unique features such as multi-port capability (up to 36 tests per hour), the ability to run multiple patients simultaneously, as well as multiple assays on one patient. What's more, the RAMP 200 features a PC-based platform for easy software upgrades, easy-to-read touch screen technology and a detailed configuration manager, data management and interface options. The instrument also features an automated Instrument Quality Control and a complex Liquid Quality Control test that verifies assays are running correctly, ensuring accurate clinically relevant and actionable results every time.
