EDB disposes of small units outside its core business
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - (Oslo, 15 July 2009) EDB Business Partner ASA announces the sale oftwo small units in Sweden that lie outside the company's corebusiness focus. EDB will receive SEK 26 million in total for the saleof these units.EDB has entered into an agreement to sell its training coursesbusiness in Sweden, which is carried out through the company AstrakanStrategisk Utbildning AB. Arranging training courses does not formpart of EDB's core business, and the company has therefore reachedagreement to sell its shares in Astrakan Strategisk Utbildning AB toa new owner with effect from mid August 2009. The business has 6employees.In addition, EDB has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) that anticipatesthe sale of Guide Market Solutions AB. This unit specialises insolutions related to sales and marketing, which is not an area thatfalls within EDB's core business focus.
