Trinity Pension's Michael Stuebe Receives Official CPC Designation
(firmenpresse) - COLUMBUS, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 12/11/14 -- Michael Stuebe, Defined Contribution Relationship Manager at Trinity Pension Consultants' Columbus office, recently received his official Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation. This is the highest non-actuarial designation that the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries has available.
Advisors who want to earn their CPC designation must have already earned their Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) credential and their Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation. The CPC designation is usually given to pension consultants who specialize in 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, qualified plans and plan design.
"The studies required for the exams have prepared me for any situation a client may bring to the table," said Stuebe. "I am now more capable of handling situations from optimizing plan design in meeting a client's goals and objectives to assisting in compliance situations."
The process for earning the CPC can take up to three years to complete, but Stuebe finished his in two years. Students in the program must successfully pass eight exams to earn the designation. The final two exams cover a broad range of subjects including defined contribution and defined benefit plans, fiduciary practices, plan investment offerings and qualified plan compliance. The final exam is in an essay format, designed to make students connect what they already learned and apply that knowledge to real-world situations.
