Institutional Investor's Top Global Research Firm of 2014 Is Bank of America Merrill Lynch
J.P. Morgan, in Second Place Overall, Is the Undisputed Champion of Fixed-Income Research
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 12/16/14 -- For a fourth consecutive year, is Institutional Investor's Top Global Research Firm of the Year, a ranking based on the aggregated results of the magazine's 12 annual research surveys.

The firm captured 260 positions in 2014. That's three more than it won last year and 39 more than , which finishes in second place for a fourth year. It won 221 spots, 11 more than in 2013.
These two are the only firms whose aggregated totals exceed 200.
In third place overall is Morgan Stanley, with climbs from fourth place after increasing its total by 20, to 174. Deutsche Bank slips one rung to No. 4 even though its total plunges by 34, to 134.
Credit Suisse and Barclays are neck and neck in fifth and sixth place, respectively, with totals of 113 and 112.
J.P. Morgan was the winner of the highest number of surveys, with victories in the All-America Research Team, the All-America Fixed-Income Research Team, the All-Europe Fixed-Income Research Team, and the Latin America Research Team.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch won three: the All-Asia Research Team, the All-Europe Research Team, and the Emerging Europe, Middle East & Africa Research Team.
Six firms captain the remaining five teams: BTG Pactual, the All-Brazil Research Team; China International Capital Corp., the All-China Research Team; Mizuho Securities Group and Nomura (tie), the All-Japan Research Team; Morgan Stanley, the All-India Research Team; and VTB Capital, the All-Russia Research Team.
