Minister Raitt Meets with the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering

(firmenpresse) - MILTON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/19/11 -- The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada's Minister of Labour, met today with representatives of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering to discuss emerging trends and challenges related to workplace health and safety and healthy work environments.

The Labour Program develops, administers and enforces workplace legislation and regulations, such as the Canada Labour Code, which covers industrial relations, health and safety, and employment standards. These laws apply to federally regulated workers and employers.
