Government of Canada provides funding for performance series

The Imperial Theatre in Saint John has received an investment of $100,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for its next two seasons.

Rodney Weston, Member of Parliament (Saint John), announced this funding today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

This funding will support the theatre's presentation series and outreach activities during fiscal years 2015-16 and 2016-17. Each year more than 40 performances will be presented, including theatre, dance, comedy, circus, music, literature, and film. Fifteen outreach activities will also be offered, including workshops in these same disciplines as well as post-show artist talks.
