Monarques Announces the Change of Name of the Corporation

("Monarques" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE: MQR) (FRANKFURT: MR7) is pleased to announce that it has changed its name for "Corporation Aurifere Monarques / Monarques Gold Corporation". The new name is more representative of the sector in which the Corporation currently operates. The stock symbol of the Corporation will remain unchanged. The change of name is subject to the final approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Monarques is a gold exploration company currently focusing its efforts on the development of gold projects along the Cadillac Break, in the Val-d'Or area of Quebec.
