Veidekke ASA: Signed major contract in Bodø

Today Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with the NPRA Region north to
build a new main road on classified road 80 to Bodø. The contract includes the
stretch from Hundstadmoen to Bodøelv and is a part of the Bodø city package. The
value of the contract is NOK 894 million excluding VAT.
Veidekke is to build a 3.5 kilometre four-lane main road with a 2.8 kilometre
two-course tunnel in front of the Bodin army camp and open-air stretches at both
ends. In addition there is a total of 700 metres of tributary roads and 14
concrete structures in the project, including four portals and one pedestrian
culvert underneath the railroad at Hundstadmoen.
A total of 500,000 m(3) of rock will be excavated from the tunnel in addition to
80,000m(3) from the open-air stretches. Excavated rock will primarily be
deposited in the sea at Langstranda.
Work will begin in February, and is slated for completion in June 2019. The
contract is part of Veidekke's order backlog for Q4 2014.
