Governor General Travelling to Saudi Arabia Following the Death of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 01/25/15 -- At the request of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, is travelling to Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, to offer his condolences on behalf of Canada, on Monday January 26, 2015, following the passing of His Royal Highness King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

The Governor General, who left Ottawa on Sunday, will return to Canada on Wednesday to pursue his previously scheduled itinerary in British Columbia (Vancouver and Nanaimo).
