Mawson West Appoints Non-Executive Director
(firmenpresse) - PERTH, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/26/15 -- Mawson West Limited (TSX: MWE) ("Mawson West" or "the Company") announces the appointment of Jesus Fernandez as a Non-executive Director of the Company.
Upon the completion of the equity financing with Galena Asset Management S.A ("Galena") on 18 December 2014, Mawson West provided Galena the right to appoint a nominee to its Board, subject to receiving necessary regulatory approvals. The appointed nominee is Jesus Fernandez.
Mr Fernandez is Principal at Galena Asset Management S.A and is the head of the M&A team for the Trafigura Group. Mr Fernandez joined the Trafigura Group in June 2004 and has 15 years of experience in mining investments and financing. Prior to joining the Trafigura Group, Mr Fernandez worked in the project finance team at an IPP in London.
Mr Fernandez has a Master of Science degree (Finance and Investment) from the University of Exeter and a Licenciatura (Economics degree) from the Universidad de Cantabria, Spain.

Mr Fernandez's appointment is subject to approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
