Zipwhip Raises $5M Series B to Accelerate Business Development for Its Landline and Toll Free Texting Service

Zipwhip decided to raise new capital after proving out a sales model that consistently yielded a 26% month-over-month revenue growth average throughout 2014. Additionally, the sales productivity per sales rep tripled over the course of the year. "Our sales team had a record setting year, but we've barely scratched the surface. Given the market size, we chose to raise capital purely to accelerate our sales and marketing efforts. Business owners just need to know we exist," says John Lauer, Zipwhip CEO.
In 2014, Zipwhip supplemented its mobile texting service for consumers with the introduction of landline and toll free texting for businesses in the U.S. and Canada.
